A1 TRNY STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
When you enter an A1
tournament, you are agreeing to abide by the A1's rules and decisions.
A1 TRNY Directors are the
arbitrators of the games they are running. As all referees, they make decisions
based on rules and interpretations of rules. There is not always just ONE
solution to a given situation. In those cases, the A1 is still required to make
a decision without delaying the game. There is no time for argument or a
"committee" ruling. The A1 TRNY Director's decisions stand and are
final.
A1 TRNY Directors are
conscientious and they are not reluctant to admit a mistake if made, when they
have time to review what transpired. However, that time is NOT during an ongoing
tournament. Haranguing and badgering any A1 TRNY Director, who is trying to
administer a game, is a violation of our Standards of Conduct. Please enter and
participate in the A1 tourneys in the spirit with which we put them on, for
enjoyment and fun!
Unacceptable
Behavior
All A1 tournaments are family oriented.
Players are required and expected to follow our Standards of Conduct while in
our tournament rooms or be subject to our disciplinary action. The following
behaviors will be considered a violation of our Standards:
1.) Harassment includes
threatening or embarrassing an A1 Director or another player. This also includes
discrimination, rudeness, fighting, arguing and slander. This means don't say
bad things about them, don't keep sending them unwanted messages, don't attack
their race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. This behavior will not
be tolerated.
2.) Impersonation of A1 TRNY
Directors or players is prohibited. Please do not use a nickname that
begins with A1, or TRNY Director. Any
players attempting to change rules or confuse others will be dealt with
accordingly.
3.) Vulgarity, profanity,
slurs or any offensive language either stated or implied is strictly forbidden.
4.) Room Disruption
that interferes with other players’ enjoyment of the tourney or the ability of
the A1 Director to smoothly run a tournament will not be allowed.
This includes, but is not limited to, disrupting the flow of chat by inputting
large images so the screen goes by too fast to read, use of excessive shouting
[all caps] in an attempt to disturb other users, or scrolling [inputting
repetitive lines of text or sounds].
Disciplinary Action
Procedures
Our A1 Team will consistently enforce the
following Disciplinary Action procedures when a player abuses our Standards of
Conduct:
Action 1:
A verbal warning will be issued to the player stating what
violation has been observed and requesting that the behavior cease immediately.
This warning will be in effect for 30 days.
Action 2:
If violation continues, a 30-day tournament ban will be issued.
Any additional violation, within 12 months of the occurrence, will
incur a Permanent Tournament Ban.
Action 3:
Continued violation will result in a permanent tournament ban.
We cannot control the actions of
individuals in our tournament rooms. We can only take action against the events
we see.
